Social Security recipients have just a few months to complete their payments in the 2022 payout before waiting for next year's much larger check.
Earlier this month, the Social Security Administration announced that the cost of living (COLA) will be 8.7% in 2023. This is his biggest increase in 41 years.
However, receipt of November 2022 payments will still reflect a COLA of 5.9% for that year.
As usual, November Social Security payments follow the same monthly schedule, with payments on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wednesday of the month.
If your date of birth falls between the 1st and 10th of the month, payments will be made on Wednesday, November 9th.
If your date of birth is between the 11th and 20th, payment will be made on Wednesday, November 16th.
If your date of birth is between the 21st and 31st, payment will be made on Wednesday, November 23rd.
If payment is not received by the due date, SSA Counseling will allow an additional three shipping days before contacting Social Security.
Seniors who are also eligible for SSI (Supplemental Security Income) benefits will receive payments in November and October.
According to the SSA website, SSI benefits are typically paid at the beginning of the month, in which case the payment will be released on the first Friday.
Due to payment schedules, two SSI checks will be mailed in April, September, and December, but no checks will be mailed in January, May, and October.
